Biased english media in India.

When Godhra happened where were you? I bet even if you remember the date of that unfortunate incident!! Most of us were not in Gujarat during the time of riots, I suppose. So, we were dependent on the media for informations and news be it print or visual. With India becoming a global economy, the trend is that we are more inclined on news from english media mostly and it is undisputed fact that the media specifically English one is anti BJP, raising doubt often; may be those are probably been paid by the anti-India forces or Congress and its non-indian leader.

This morning when I opened the web, the headlines of one of most read newspaper in India, ‘The Times Of India” has the heading that chief minister of Gujarat Mr. Narendra Modi presided Gujarat riots (Then deputy Home minister Gordhan Zadafia told this to SIT , a fact finding body appointed by supreme court.) The heading appeared like screaming and as if it was the verdict from the Supreme Court of India. De facto, this was mere a statement given by then junior home minister.

If we talk about those riots; It is the duty of a chief minister to remain in touch with police officials to control the riots. Mr. Modi was successful in controlling the riots within few days in which people from both communities died in police firing and mutual clashes, after the riots were initiated followed by burning of people inside a train at Godhra.

True, whoever has done unconstitutional, should be highlighted in the interest of country and society and should be brought to the justice. But it must  not be in the interest of any person or a party. Times of India, NDTV are few of those rogue news media who have been on a mission of highlight anything which could alive the ghosts of Godhra in order to marginalise Narendra Modi,  perhaps due to jealous of his miraculous  rise and unparalleled leadership ability ! Just few things I thought, did they even highlightened that Gujarat has been the most growing state of India under Mr., Modi’s leadership? Or do they write or quote  Mr. Modi's recognitions internationally or his popularity despite such intensified critics? Do they justify Modi's stand on personal attack on him by the lady from Italy and Congress? Did they have such coverage on 1984 Anti sikh riots? Did they write anything on last day’s assembly when separatist leaders from Kashmir were having a seminar under the government nose in very Delhi? Nay.

I thought to share one thing for sure. Let us read those news and go through their analysis but it is to be ensured that we should keep in mind that, there are few educated, hyped, aggressive and so called progressive people around, taking secularism for granted and free to air their personal views and whom you should judge by yourself; be it Times Of India, NDTV, it’s anchor Barkha Dutt, Rajdeep Sardesai from IBN7, Tista Setalvad, Arudhuti Roy to name a few. Let us be progressive but let not our minds be wiped away by these partial idiots in our quest of being called as modern!
