Who won Kargil? India or NDA?
A war was imposed on India in the chilling heights of Kargil 10 years back. The "snake" rattled us once again in the name of friendship. Pakistan left our territory only after killing our 557 brave soldiers and officers.More than 700 were wounded and loss of billions of rupees which are hidden to none. Since it was a remarkable achievement and definitely a well deserved celebration, from there we have been celebrating "Vijay diwas" every year in this month.
This year there are no such plans of celebration. May be, PM is in Cairo for those never ending "talks on terrorism" with this old nemesis country which is gearing up to hurl down the mother of all issue once again :Kashmir, which we don’t seem in the position to handle confidently ever.
We know nothing new will happen as India will remain on the same line of course as will Pakistan on the same stance. That discussion is to be left for some other time.
Coming to "Vijay Diwas" celebration, couldn't this event have been organised even without him? This torpid behaviour of UPA remained clandestine till yesterday.
Last day I was shocked when I heard Congress MP Mr. Rashid Alvi on 'Headlinetoday' questioning on the celebrating of the Kargil victory because it was fought when NDA was the ruling party and only NDA should celebrate? So does it mean that the cancelled celebrations by UPA were meant due to this reason?
What to do from here now? Does it mean that NDA supporters should stop celebrating 1971 war victory?
Or should Mumbai attacks be meaningful only for UPA?
One simple march-past down "Rajpath" was enough to show some respect for those unsung martyr who laid their life for a big cause. At least for the cause; so that the disgusting fellows like said MP could deliver with such an ease.
Where are our politicians heading to?
